has anyone ever studied the health affects of not having caffeine?

besides coffee, its in chocalate, tea, soda, nuts, roots. I dont know any culfture that doesn't have it in their food. I was wondering if anyone ever did a study to see what would happen if someone was deprived of caffeine for a long time.
