Is 600-800 mg of caffeine a day dangerous?

Caffeine and Health
Jefferson Steelflex asked:

Caffeine tablets?
I take 400mg of caffeine a day and they're not working like they used to. I take both of those tablets when I first wake up. Would it help me get more energy and speed up my metabolism if I take 600mg a day but only take 1 every 3-4 hours instead of one time? Would there be any health risks at 600mg a day? Would it give me more energy and speed up my metabolism better if I take it every few hours instead of all at once? Sources?

I'm 16, 5'5", and 140 lbs, Male.
My box says it's ok to take a tablet every 3-4 hours.

How do I detox from Coffee (Caffeine)without headaches?

Caffeine and Health
steven k asked:

I am trying to be a healthier person. I have slight high blood pressure, and was recommended by a health care practitioner to cut out coffee inasmuch as caffeine can be addicting and also can increase heart rate, make one more anxious and tired because you can crash from caffeine. When I have attempted in the past to quit caffeine, I got humongous, powerful headaches and felt nauseous and fatigued. This was a result of caffeine withdrawal. Although caffeine withdrawal can only last 3 day, I need my job and to work ans cannot perform well with a headach and being naseous and fatigued. But I really wish to quit. Can anyone please offer me advice? Are ther supplements to take to combat caffeine withdrawal? I would love to hear from either former coffee drinkers or people also trying to quit caffeinated coffee who have solid advise for me. Thank you and God Bless.

I dont want any type of drink with huge amounts of caffeine or unnatural ingredients. I have heart palpitations so I need to be careful with what I drink. Any info would be appreciated. Their website doesn't give much info.

energy sources other than caffeine?

Caffeine and Health
mmcnum1fan asked:

is there anything other than caffeine to give you energy that I can consume that isn't bad for your health?

I haven't had caffeine in about 1 month because I gave it up.

BUT now Im lacking energy I need. I'm trying to conceive and caffeine is bad for you, so if theres anything more natural that I can take that won't affect my fertility or overall health that would be awesome! any suggestions?

I'm a health freak and my girlfriend is not, is it wrong of me to pressure her to eat better?

Caffeine and Health
Boom Boom Boy asked:

I'm obsessed with my health and weight. I read the labels of everything I eat, and I like to talk about nutrition. I was with a guy previously who used to get mad at me and tried to force me to eat steaks and stuff, and I don't want to be a hypocrite and try to force my views of eating on my current girlfriend. I'm just really concerned about her health sometimes. Like she mostly drinks diet soda with caffeine and that's it. It frazzles me because I know that the caffeine dehydrates her, yet that is all she drinks. I think I make her feel bad *sigh* do you have any advise for me?

Does brewing green tea in the sun and then refrigorating it provide the same health benefits as using hot H2O?

Caffeine and Health
Grant M asked:

I like green tea for the taste, caffeine, metabolism boost, and immune system boost. Will any of those be neglected by using the sun brewing method? (My oven is broken so I can't boil water and I am not about to microwave a bowl of water.)

What happens if you drink to much caffeine? Is it bad for your health?

Caffeine and Health
poopek asked:

I have had so much caffeine today that it feels like my eyes are bouncing back and forth. I fee all weird…..super wired….a lil anxious.
Thanks for your answers. I started the day off with my 3 cups of coffee like normal but discovered this stuff by Crystal Light. It's strawberry flavored powder that you mix w/ water. It has caffeine in it and that's all I've been drinking today. I've probably had 4 or 5 packets! I am definitely laying off the stuff tomorrow.

How much caffeine is Ok per day?

Caffeine and Health
Suzy Creamcheese asked:

I don't mean how much for an uber healthy diet, just enough that won't greatly affect your health. I don't know if it's in any way age dependant, but I'm 18 (if that makes any difference).

Could you by any chance put that in the format of cups of coffee or cans of Red Bull? :P
Thanks. :)
